As Elle.fr was at first a fashion editorial platform we had to incorporate the e-commerce step by step, starting by creating and integrating widgets into the editorial content to make it shoppable.

As Elle.fr was at first a fashion editorial platform we had to incorporate the e-commerce step by step, starting by creating and integrating widgets into the editorial content to make it shoppable.

The building of this shopping platform then really started with the creation of the product page and guest checkout giving users the ability to buy directly on Elle.

The main issue here was inserting the basket somewhere other than on the header (which is not easily editable). This issue was resolved by sticking the basket on the bottom right of the user's screen. This also makes it more legible and accessible at any time from all pages.

The next step for this marketplace was to have more and more brands featured, for that we needed to have a brand page where they would have more visibility and display their catalogues.

This homepage completes the shopping hub Elle Store which is now established as a unique Elle brand!

This design gives the possibility of pushing campaigns and putting brands in the spotlight but also inspiring users with the latest trends and seasonal products.

Elle's strength lies in being a well-known editorial website viewed by more than 3 million women per month.

But their ambition goes beyond that, with the aim of being an inspirational fashion e-commerce platform, through having relevant brands and products but also through the editorial fashion content. Following that idea, we are integrating the editor's picks and recommendations on our products.
